For years and years it has been on the top of my goals list to plan and run a bloggers event. I've seen other bloggers run events and they always look like so much fun. I planned and ran a small event in Taunton last year, but I never really saw that as an 'event' as such...more of a meet. I always wanted to plan an event to get to know more local bloggers, but also to feel the accomplishment. Planning a bloggers event is hard work and it takes a lot of time and dedication. I figured that if I could plan a bloggers meet, I could do anything I wanted to do.

If you had told me this time last year that I would be 2 weeks away from an event I have planned for 25 bloggers, I would not have believed you. I have never had much confidence in myself and I was no way in the right place this time last year to plan a bloggers meet. GCSEs had caused my depression to metaphorically swallow me up and I was not up for anything. It's not been an easy journey to get where I am now, but it has been worth it. Planning this event has increased my confidence greatly and it has given me the motivation to reach for my goals. So far it has been a stressful but amazing journey and I cannot thank the lovely bloggers who have supported me in these past few months, enough.

So, yes, on the 9th of July (not this Saturday, but next) I will be running my very first blogging event at the Cosy Club in Bristol. Eeek...I am so excited I can't type properly. There will be roughly 25 bloggers attending this event; bloggers from Wales, Somerset, Bristol and other surrounding areas. There will be a few brands attending the event; Weleda and Chelsea Candle. I am also hoping to get in contact with a nail specialist who may be able to attend the event and do some manicures and nail treatments (this is still a working progress, but I have faith in myself). There will also be lovely goody bags and a few other treats, thanks to the event sponsors (not mentioning all yet, it's a surprise).

No, there's not loads going on but I prefer it that way. I want to be able to speak to everyone and get to know them instead of being rushed off my feet for the whole 4 hours and subsequently not enjoy it. There will be bigger and better events in the future, but I thought I would start small seeing as I only started planning this event at the end of March.

The event will be in the Peacock Room at the Cosy Club. It's a very sweet little room at the front of the Cosy Club which has a very lovely set out. There's also a choice to pull across the curtains to close off the room from the rest of the venue. There will be a bar to get drinks - alcoholic and non-alcoholic. There will be seats and tables to sit around and mingle. I have already been in 2 times to make sure it's all perfect and there's enough room for all of us - it's not the biggest room ever but it's one of the cutest venues!

I have also chosen to support a mental health charity called Off The Record, during this event. There will be many ways to donate to them and Liam from Off The Record will be attending to talk to the bloggers about the charity. Mental health is very close to my heart and I would appreciate all donations to the charity. If we can do something to support people suffering with mental health problems, I will.

Most of all, I just want everyone to have fun, make friends and go away with some lovely memories and gifts. If that happens, I have achieved something huge! Only 2 weeks to go!
