FAVOURITE PURCHASES // JANUARY EDITION

Favourite Purchases // January Edition

January has been a very 'spendy' month for me. That is definitely not what I had intended *slaps hand*. I told myself at the start of January that I would not spend a lot, but as always I find myself stood in shops thinking to myself 'but, I do really deserve a treat' or 'ah, I have been looking for that for ages, may as well get it now'. Basically, any way to help myself justify spending money. I must admit that my self-control with retail therapy is really quite weak. Ah well, I needed every bit of retail therapy I allowed myself...(please help me justify this).

So, this month I have definitely splashed out on some products that have really impressed me. The majority being makeup - after all, a girl's gotta help herself feel better! But, of course, there was also some candles and stationary involved (another love of mine).

Eyelure False Lashes (Definition / No 123) - £5.25
I have been completely obsessed with these beauties since the day I got them! The last time I wore false lashes was when I did my last dance competition back in, gosh I don't remember...a veeeery long time ago. I must admit that I was absolutely hopeless with applying these lashes at first, but nothing I couldn't improve. These lashes definitely help to 'open up' my eyes and just look so elegant. The glue provided is also amazing. Perks all around!

Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie Tealight Candles - £3.49
Of course, these were in the post-Christmas sales! I came across them whilst browsing in Yankee Candle and although I really didn't need them, I managed to find a reason to justify them. These candles smell gorgeous - if you haven't already smelt them, you need to. I love the pink colour as well! Anything pink attracts me!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - £10.99
I still rave about this foundation! I first bought it back in the autumn and recently ran out, so bought a new one. The formula of this foundation is the best - no exaggeration - you need to try this one! It gives me such a healthy glow and has a really healthy colour...not too orange! I have a review of the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.

Bourjois - cost me about £2.25
This is quite possibly the beautiful-est (yes, that is a word, shhh) eyeshadow I have ever purchased! It has such a gorgeous shine and as you can see, it is a perfect neutral pinky shade! It's absolutely perfect for those light, rosy eye-looks. The sun catches the glitter pigments and oh my gosh, it looks gorgeous! Add a bit of jet-black eyeliner and you've got yourself the perfect glam look!

Polkadot Stapler - £3.99
Polkadot is a little homeware shop in a local high street where I live. I love their items! I saw this stapler and fell in love with the pattern - so, of course, I had to buy it. It uses big staples and staples big, chunky documents which is just what I need for essays and write ups at school. Plus, it looks all sophisticated sat at my desk! A definite favourite in my eyes!

Do you have any favourite buys this month?

  2. I really like the smell of the Yankee Candle you picked up but my cousin said it was too sweet so I didn't end up getting it. That really is a beautiful eyeshadow, Bourjois does some amazing products.

  5. I adore Bourjois foundation, even more my high end foundation like Giorgio Armani's.
It's insanely good and only 1/4 of the price.

    1. Wow, really? I was thinking about investing in a new high end foundation, but if this one is just as good as some high end brands, I may stick with it.

    1. Thank you, it's gorgeous! It's a very light shade so not easy to show on a swatch. But, it's gorgeous! Thank you, Aishettina! xx
