BERRY SPECTACULAR EYES

Berry Eyeshadow Makeup Look
I have definitely got a new found love recently. I bought some Eyelure lashes at the beginning of January and I have spent several hours creating different looks using them...yes, even when I am just spending the day in bed, I agree, crazy. But, when something makes you feel so good about yourself, you do it despite other things.

I used these Eyelure eyelashes to create a look on New Years Day. I created a very berry look, with a subtle base and nude lip, with big eyelashes! I must say, I think eyelashes finish off a look fantastically and make it look so much more professional (well it would have if I hadn't got visible glue all over the lashes!). I definitely need a bit of practice in applying false eyelashes!

The products I used in this look were: No7 Natural Finish foundation, The Body Shop Instablur primer, Rimmel lipstick in Asia (077), Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Palette, Avon eye primer, Soap&Glory Brow Archery, The Body Shop All In One Face Base, MAC's Coppering, Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (Booty Call, Foxy, Tease, Busted and Snakebite), Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Curl mascara, and of course, Eyelure lashes (Definition, No 123).

I want to focus on the eyes in this post, so here is how I did them.
First, I went in with the Avon eye primer and spread that all over my eyes. Then I went in with Foxy from the Naked 2 palette. I used that shade as a base all over the eye. I then used Bootycall on my eyelid, just to add a little more colour. Next, I headed in with the Tease shade. I used this in the crease of my eyes and just blended out until I felt happy with the 'smoky' look. I then went in with Busted and a little Snakebite to add a slightly darker tone to the crease. Finally, I used MAC's Coppering and added that on top of the smokey crease and the outside of my eye lids. I blended this until it all combined and made a smokey, berry eye. I then added the lashes and voila, there you have the perfect berry eye look! Okay, I may have spent 20 minutes applying the lashes, but no one needs to know about that.

So, of course, this isn't really an everyday look - unless you are a super beauty giru who looks beautiful every day most days - but it is defintiely a look to impress! And trust me, it's not as hard and complex as it looks!

What do you think of this look? Would you ever attempt it?

  4. I love this look and the eyeshadow colours you've used are stunning!

I used to wear false eyelashes on a daily basis whilst I was in college, I loved them! They made me feel amazing and whilst I already have quite long lashes they just added that bit extra to them. The only problem I had was because I wore them a lot and my eyelashes are so fine they did begin to pull and thin out my eyelashes, hence why I stopped wearing them so frequently. But I love putting some on for a night out still!
