Meet My February Advertisers
So, February was the first month that I offered advertising on BATG. It is currently free of charge and I hope to keep it this way until at least May. I have really enjoyed having fellow bloggers advertise on my site and I can only hope that it somewhat helped them to acquire some new followers or viewers. I have always found advertising on other people's blogs to be quite helpful in reaching out to different audiences. I figured that if I had something I could use to help other bloggers out, I would use it. So, that's where advertising came in.

This month I have had some lovely bloggers advertising on BATG. Many of which I hadn't spoken to before. If there's one reason I would recommend advertising on your blog, it's to reach out to new people and find new blogs. There's hundreds of new blogs out there to discover!

Maybelline Master Graphic Eyeliner Review
I'm not a massive fan of eyeliners. I personally don't think that the shape of my eyes suit winged liner as much as others. Don't get me wrong, I love a winged eyeliner look, it's just not a look I do often on myself. I much prefer a simplistic peachy gold eye with big, bold lashes. I still find myself wearing liner for certain occasions, though. The last time I wore it was back in January. I would never have the effort to do winged eyeliner every day!

I bought this Maybelline eyeliner pen to keep as my 'occasional eyeliner' for when I fancied going 'all out'. I must say, this is a good eyeliner pen. It's so easy to use! It's also super affordable, being drugstore. However, there's a few negatives about this product. I guess it's time to share all of these things with you, in detail!

Winter Coat Edit

Seeing as it is winter (nearly spring, but let's face it, spring never gets much warmer), I definitely managed to justify buying two - yes two - new coats within a week. You know a few weeks back when it got extremely bitter all of a sudden? That was when I felt it was suitable to buy some new coats! Oh, I was definitely right!

Being one of those people that are always, always cold, coats are essential to me. You could send me on holiday to somewhere tropical and I would probably still have cold hands and feet. Yes, I am that annoying person that always moans about being cold (sorry, not sorry). But hey, that's just another reason to buy more coats (I already have a growing collection of about 6 coats).

Anyway, here's to getting down to my two new coats...

One of my favourite things about starting a new year is collecting new books to read throughout that year. I don't often actually manage to read all of them, but just the idea of having a list of books to read somewhat satisfies my easily-pleased mind. There must be other people out there who set goals whilst knowing they will never actually do it? We all love to have some hope, right?! New Year's resolutions spring to mind...

This year, I have set myself a goal to read 9 books! Yes, 9. I know that isn't a lot of books, but I am an awful book reader and I want to improve! 9 books over 366 days...that gives me roughly 40 days per book, hmm. Seeing it like that makes it seem very possible! We will see.

I know, I know. I still haven't read the Divergent series! Shocker!! I told you I was awful with getting into a book. I have had these books for a year now and although my mum has read them, no one else has set a hand on them. I have decided that they will be on my to-read list this year because I have been meaning to read them since I got them. My mum thoroughly enjoyed them (although she said the first book had a very weird introducing few chapters) which makes me want to read them too! I haven't even watched the films...but, that cannot be done until the books are read. Books are always better than the films!

It's safe to say that I managed to grab myself a complete bargain a few weeks back! Charity shops have been a love of mine for about a year now, I cannot stay away. It's becoming quite a bad addiction that is kind of bad for my bank acccount. But, at least it's not as damaging as it could be (if I shopped at the expensive highstreet shops).

This beautiful tote bag is one of my newest and most-loved bargain pieces from St. Peter's Hospice. I have not been able to put it down since the day I bought it. It is the perfect practical size and I must say that I do love everything about it! Take a look yourself and let me know what you think.

Favourite Purchases // January Edition

January has been a very 'spendy' month for me. That is definitely not what I had intended *slaps hand*. I told myself at the start of January that I would not spend a lot, but as always I find myself stood in shops thinking to myself 'but, I do really deserve a treat' or 'ah, I have been looking for that for ages, may as well get it now'. Basically, any way to help myself justify spending money. I must admit that my self-control with retail therapy is really quite weak. Ah well, I needed every bit of retail therapy I allowed myself...(please help me justify this).

So, this month I have definitely splashed out on some products that have really impressed me. The majority being makeup - after all, a girl's gotta help herself feel better! But, of course, there was also some candles and stationary involved (another love of mine).

MAYBELLINE COLOUR DRAMA REVIEW: BERRY MUCH
I have a forever growing collection of berry lipsticks - it's definitely becoming a bit of an addiction. I had been lusting over this lipstick pencil for a long time and finally purchased it a month or so back, from BeautySpin. It's definitely one of my favourite lipstick shades, so I thought why not do a review? Plus it's quite photogenic, I had to feature it.

What does Maybelline claim?
Maybelline claim that the Colour Drama lip kohl 'makes lips pop'. They say it has a 'creamy texture' and there's a range of 'on trend shades' to choose from.

First Impressions
I was definitely struck by the colour of this lipstick pencil when I first received it. It's such a gorgeous deep, red cherry shade. On application, I could tell it was quite highly pigmented but also quite creamy - not the kind that would become clumpy over time, or dry my lips out. I don't remember thinking anything negative about it, I was far too obsessed with the beautiful shade.

Berry Eyeshadow Makeup Look
I have definitely got a new found love recently. I bought some Eyelure lashes at the beginning of January and I have spent several hours creating different looks using them...yes, even when I am just spending the day in bed, I agree, crazy. But, when something makes you feel so good about yourself, you do it despite other things.

I used these Eyelure eyelashes to create a look on New Years Day. I created a very berry look, with a subtle base and nude lip, with big eyelashes! I must say, I think eyelashes finish off a look fantastically and make it look so much more professional (well it would have if I hadn't got visible glue all over the lashes!). I definitely need a bit of practice in applying false eyelashes!

With Christmas having been and gone a month ago, I had a few new beauty products to try out. I think that's one of my favourite things about Christmas, the accumulation of piles of beauty products to try out after hand. I love testing out new beauty products and finding new favourites. This month, I have definitely found some new favourites that I will be taking into February with me!

As promised, here's my Valentine's gift guide 'for her'. There are quite a few more things on this gift guide compared to the 'for him' guide. I couldn't keep my eyes away from all of the beautiful rose gold goodies! There's so many little bits that I would love to treat myself to, especially the Jasper Conran shoes; aren't they gorgeous? (and a bargain at £24.50!). Flowers and candles are a must have for Valentine's Day when buying for a woman. Oh and don't forget the chocolates!

Valentine's Gift Guide For Him
Now, I'm not going to pretend that I know the ins-and-outs of Valentine's gift buying, because let's face it, I have no idea. But, that's one reason why I decided to write a post about Valentine's gift buying, for those of you who also have no idea what to buy for your loved one - specifically if you're buying for a boyfriend or husband. This gift guide is aimed at buying gifts for a male loved one - there will be a gift guide for women coming soon!

I managed to find quite a few different gift ideas this year. It usually takes me hours to find anything I'd actually consider buying. I sorted the items into 4 different types - nightwear/loungewear, grooming & fragrance, fashion and novelty & fun gifts.

MAC Coppering Eyeshadow Review
I bought Coppering back in autumn when everyone was crazy about rusty copper shades (okay, maybe it was just me). I purchased it from BeautySpin. BeautySpin is a website that is a retailer of many beauty products - drugstore to high end - sometimes at discounted prices. It's definitely worth keep an eye out for their deals! Anyway, let's get on to talking about this beautiful shade - 'Coppering'!

What does MAC claim?
MAC claims that Coppering is a 'highly-pigmented powder' that 'applies evenly' and 'blends well'. They describe the colour as an 'orange copper'. Coppering is a veluxe pearl finish eyeshadow.
