NOVEMBER EMPTIES

22/11/2015

November is the month when I try to finish off all of my products that are looking a little empty or sorry for themselves, in time to make room for new Christmas gifts. I leave some of my most loved products until December because I go on a little personal spending ban between late November and December, so I make sure I still have things to last me. The majority of the products I use up during November and December do go onto my Christmas wish list. There are sometimes a few products that I wouldn't repurchase, but most go back on the list. And if I don't get them for Christmas then I'll fight the crowds and go on a Boxing Day sales spending spree! This year it'll have to be a post-boxing-day sales shopping trip as I am working Boxing Day - booooo. Gotta grab the opportunity while it's there, right?! I'm sure there will still be some bargains around!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume
This has been the only perfume I have been using all year. I absolutely love it! It has such a subtle, sophisticated smell and it lingers for hours. It is a very light, airy and fruity musky scent, it's perfect for all year round. Can I also mention how beautiful the bottle is? I almost don't want to get rid of it as it has been sat on my shelf making it look beautiful for the past year. This one is definitely going back on my Christmas list. I would love to try the new Marc Jacobs perfume Daisy Dream Forever as I feel it would be right down my street considering I love this one so much.

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 Palette - Shade 3
As you can see, this shade is looking empty compared to the other shades. It's one of the only shades I use from the palette, daily. I use this shade for my eyebrows as it is the perfect shade and it lasts all day. I am on the look out for a new brow product and I have put the Soap and Glory Brow Archery on my Christmas list. Although, this is a perfect shade, I can't be buying a new palette every time this shade runs out.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
This is another product that has been my favourite for about 8 months. So much so that I literally refused to try any other foundation. It is within my price range and it is a gorgeous foundation, particularly for the winter months when your skin needs a bit of a shine. However, about 2 months ago I made the plunge and bought a different brand foundation, and I must say that the Bourjois foundation definitely tops this foundation for me. Maybe one day I'll go back, but for now, I'm happy with Bourjois's Healthy Mix Foundation. Rimmel still remains in second place, though. It's perfectly dewy and has a gorgeous formula.

Collection 2000 Concealer
I have had this concealer hanging around in my beauty drawer for about a month now. I must admit that this is definitely not my favourite concealer and I won't be repurchasing based on the fact that it is a really thick formula and tends to go a bit dry on my face. It could be my skin type, but it just isn't for me. I have recently been using The Body Shop's All-In-One Concealer, and I absolutely love it.

Lush's Mask of Magnaminty
This mask is potentially the best mask I have ever had. It has done wonders for my skin and I have no complaints. It is a thick mask, which I love, and it smells divine. The only problem I have is finding a way to get it off after; it sticks and doesn't want to come off. Nothing a bit of hot water can't fix, though. I tend to just get in the shower and run water over my face. Definitely my go-to pamper night mask. This has gone back on my Christmas wish list, along with the Cupcake face mask. I have only tried this face mask from Lush, so I definitely need to get ordering some more to try out.

What products have you used up recently?

  1. Does the daisy dream perfume smell like the original daisy perfume? I have had the Daisy perfume and was not that keen on it so I am not sure to buy the daisy dream perfume. Also, I personally don't like the wake me up foundation, so many people go mad over it but personally I don't like it. Such a good blog post!

    1. I am not sure how similar they are, but they won't smell exactly the same. I do really like the Wake Me Up Foundation, but obviously, it isn't for everyone. Thank you!

    1. The Mask Of Magnaminty is probably one of the most popular Lush face masks, so you definitely need to try it! I haven't tried the original Daisy perfume, but I am sure it smells lovely!

  7. I have been really wanting to try the Daisy perfume. The collection concealer doesn't have my shade and the one I got was way too light for me.
